	Application Services Provider (ASP) Company is a company that delivers software as a service through the Internet or web. Specifically, an ASP company delivers a contractual service offering to deploy, host, manage and providing access to an application from their own facility. They are responsible for providing all of the specific activities and expertise needed to manage the software application that they have provide as a service.
	The letter "x" of xSP is a wild card for a specific kind of technology-based services, such as application (as in ASP), storage (as in SSP), Internet (as ISP) and etc. Therefore, an APS is a specific kind of xSP and applications-centric is the characteristic that distinguishes this category of services from other kinds of service provision.
